Botox® – What Is It?

Botox® is used to relax the muscles of facial animation in an effort to reduce the evidence of wrinkling which contributes to the appearance of aging. This substance is injected through the skin into or close to the muscle. After a couple of days, the patient usually sees a relaxation of the muscle, and within a week or two, a lessening of the wrinkle. We’ve answered some popular questions about Botox® below.  As always, should you have any questions about Botox® or any other procedures performed at Clinton Plastic Surgery Center don’t hesitate to call us! 205.408.9787.
